Mr. Phindile Ncede has 11 years of business experience, running his consulting business in Advisory and Risk Management. Prior to that he worked as an investment professional in investment management at STANLIB Asset Management and in development finance at the National Empowerment Fund. He qualified with a BEconSc at the Witwatersrand University. He has been trained in specialty finance in financial modelling, debt restructuring, private equity investments. He has undergone training in operational risks through the Society of Actuaries. He has assisted small businesses and municipalities in putting up systems in risk management, including Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Systems. He has played a role in SMME development for 12 years in assisting small businesses access funding in different economic sectors.

Nkululeko Poya (BTech (Civil Eng.), MBA

A civil engineering technologist with 18 years of experience, Nkululeko Poya specialises in regulatory affairs, infrastructure business management and engineering. These include an understanding of Asset Management including maintenance of infrastructure in general. He also specialises in SMME development on infrastructural projects from rail/road construction to building/housing development. He has increased value of various business through his innovative approach to leadership and management of people within the organisation and projects.

Sibongiseni Henna

Executive Director – Sibongiseni Henna(NMU))

Sibongiseni Henna is a General Manager for Sales and Marketing(Africa) for the Railway Safety Regulator, he is an experienced sales and marketing specialist. The role of the department is to come up with out of the box revenue enhancement concepts in line with the organization’s “revenue stream” mandate in-order to assist as a support function the larger scope of the RSR and to also be the “sharp end of the stick” in terms of heading up the growth implementation strategy for the organization. He is a visionary marketer, and gifted around product development and unearthing markets for those products. He is an excellent relationship manager and has been frequently asked to mentor other marketers or people wanting to enter the field. He has established networks in South Africa and the rest of the continent especially sub Saharan Africa. He is brilliant at carving out specialist private and public-sector programs and profiling them.

Renaire Huntley

Executive Director – Renaire Huntley (BSc (Hon); MSc (UKZN))

On completion of her undergarduate degree in the Biological Health Sciences,Renaire Huntley initiated her research career in the environmental health field where she specialised in environmental epidemiology and Health Informatics with a strong focus on environmental and institutional sustainability. As an interand multi-disciplinary scientist in possession of a MSc degree in Environment & Development with specialisation in systems thinking, complex problem solving and multi-criteria decision analysis, she brought to the rail sector an integrated approach to safety research with the aim of developing sustainable solutions to complex socio-politico and technical problems. She previously occupied the position of Executive in the Office of the CEO at the Railway Safety Regulator where she further developed her specialisations in organisational development and knowledge management whilst providing the RSR with regulatory, governance and revenue management support and guidance. At present, she’s the RSR’s Executive Manager for Strategy & Business Development with the primary responsibility of identifying alternative revenue streams and capacity building / organisational development opportunities.

Jane Kabaki

Company Secretary – Jane Kabaki-Rubia (LLB (Hons), MBLaw (London))

Ms Kabaki holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London and a Master in Business Law from the London Metropolitan University, Specialising in International Trade Law. Over the past 18 years, she has gained experience in governance,international development and research. She has provided academic development at various universities and contributed to policy development while pursuing research on human resources management, gender issues, equity and transformation and public management. Ms Kabaki has worked the International Centre for Research and Agro-forestry (ICRAF) where she managed the research division and was responsible for the research administration of the regional centres in Africa, South East Asia, and Latin America. In addition, Ms Kabaki worked in the higher education sector, initially at the Centre for Higher Education Transformation (CHET), worked as a senior researcher at the Human Sciences research Council (HSRC), then Headed the Research and Policy Division of the University of Fort Hare Institute of Government (FHIG), was the Program Manager at the Leadership and Equity Advancement program of the University of KwaZulu Natal, before joining the Research and Information Division of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) focusing on regional integration research.
